The next Weaver Book Discussion title (Feb. 8 discussion) will be Freshwater Road by Denise Nicholas.

The Reading Across RI book for 2011 is The Unforgiving Minute by Craig Mullaney.

Book Club in a Bag

The Weaver Library is offering an exciting new service to support community-based book clubs called “Book Club in a Bag.” The library will provide ten copies of a single title, information about the author, book reviews, and possible discussion questions selected by a librarian to enhance your book group’s discussion.

All the contents are secured in a sturdy canvas bag for your “totable” convenience. “Book Club in a Bag” eliminates the expense of buying books for your book discussion group or borrowing individual copies from the library. The bag must be reserved in advance and may be checked out for six weeks to a single book group member.

Book Sale

The Friends of East Providence Public Library will hold a book sale beginning Friday Oct. 26 through Sunday Oct. 28, 2007 at Weaver Library, during normal library hours.
